Why apply for Living Waters Lutheran College's Specialist Netball Program?
At Living Waters Lutheran College, we take pride in the wide variety of opportunities that we are able to provide to our students – all the while being able to maintain small class sizes where every child is known and cared for as a unique individual.
As part of our commitment to holistic learning, we are proud to be one of just seven Tier 2 Netball endorsed schools in WA, working closely with Netball WA to implement a comprehensive program for talented young athletes.
Our Specialist Netball Program is designed to support the long-term development of athletes wishing to play Association Netball or aspiring to play in a WA Talent Development Squad. The Program provides talented young players with opportunities to further develop their netball performance across a range of sport-specific settings.
Athletes selected into the program are provided with access to training sessions conducted by external specialist coaching staff (taking place both during and outside of school hours) and exposed to enhanced levels of competition through a range of Inter-School carnivals, Club carnivals and the RDNA Winter and Spring Seasons.
In addition to improvements in netball-specific skill, fitness, strength and conditioning and court intelligence, we place a strong emphasis on ensuring that athletes enjoy all of the mental, emotional and social benefits derived from participating in a team sport, a philosophy that extends across our entire school sports offering.
Living Waters Lutheran College are now accepting applications from students seeking selection into the program and entering Years 7-11 in 2022. Applications are due on Friday, 21 May.
