Living Waters Lutheran College is proud to be a Netball WA Endorsed Netball Specialist School. We work with Netball WA to produce a comprehensive program in accordance with the Netball Australia Long Term Athlete Development Plan.

Netball WA Endorsement

Living Waters Lutheran College is proud to announce that we are Tier 1 Netball endorsed schools in WA.

The objective of Netball WA’s Specialist Netball School Endorsement Program is to outline minimum standards relevant to the current athlete, coach, umpire and official pathways.

As a Netball WA Endorsed Specialist Netball School, we must be able to demonstrate and provide a successful program that covers all aspects of netball along with a holistic approach to student development.

LWLC works with Netball WA to produce a comprehensive program in accordance with the Netball Australia Long Term Athlete Development Plan.

Program Details

There is an application and trial process for all Programs.

Students who are selected into a program will receive two netball coaching lessons per week with a focus on fitness, strength and conditioning, skill acquisition and court intelligence with the main goal being to improve athlete’s technique and performance on the netball court. Players will be exposed to Inter-School competitions and Carnivals to enable them to practice and consolidate the teaching and learning in the weekly coaching sessions. The program will also involve collaborative learning across year levels. Scholarships are available for this program, to find out more please view our Netball Program Scholarship – FAQs document regarding scholarships.

The Junior Development Netball Program has been established to support students preparing for entry into our Secondary School Netball Programs. It is designed for students in Years 5 and 6 who are eager to build a strong foundation in netball. This program focuses on developing essential skills, understanding game strategies, and fostering a love for the sport. Places in this program are limited.

The Years 7 to 9 Development Netball Program is designed to support players who either have a strong potential for selection into the Specialist Netball Program when they reach those year levels or exhibit the potential to progress their Netball skills further in a Development Program. Places for this program are limited.

The Specialist Netball Program is coordinated by our Specialist Netball Coordinator. This program enables students engaged in high-level competitive netball to develop specific technical skills and tactical applications in preparation for Association, State, and State League Trials. Places are limited and will be offered to athletes with the best emerging talent in Years 10 to 12.

Application dates for Years 5 and 6 in 2025

Applications open: Friday 6 September 2024

Applications close: Friday 11 October 2024

Trial date: Thursday 24 October

2025 Applications – External Applicants Only

Trials have been completed for 2025. External students entering throughout 2025 will have an opportunity to apply for the program and will be assessed individually, pending positions available at the College.

Please email netball@livingwaters.wa.edu.au for a 2025 application form and the Netball Coordinator will be in touch regarding the application process.

Students new to the college will also need to fill out a School Enrolment Application Form.

Selection Process

1. An invitation to trial will be provided once the application has been assessed.

2. Students will attend the appropriate trial time for their group.

3. If the student is accepted into the Program, a student contract will need to be filled out and sent back before the end of  Term 3.
