Basketball Academy
The Basketball Academy is for students in Years 5 to 12. This academy will provide students with the unique opportunity to combine both quality education and physical exercise, and each student year group will receive expert coaching through practical, theoretical and strength conditioning sessions.
Basketball Academy Details
Students who are selected into the Basketball Academy will receive two basketball theory and practical lessons per week to develop their skills, techniques, tactics and decision making specifically for basketball. Players will be representing Living Waters Lutheran College at interschool, Rockingham Kwinana Associated Schools (RKAS) and independent college competitions, preparing them to be nominated to trial for the Western Australian Basketball League (WABL). Basketball Information Session
To learn more about the Basketball Academy we welcome you to join us at our Basketball Information Night on Thursday 15 May at 4:00pm or 5:00pm. This will be held at the College Chapel. Register below to attend the Information Night.
Information for new students entering the College in 2025
Trials for the 2025 Basketball Academy have been completed. External students entering the College throughout 2025 will have an opportunity to apply for the academy. Each student will be assessed individually, pending positions available.
Please email basketball@livingwaters.wa.edu.au for a 2025 Application Form and the Basketball Coordinator will be in touch regarding the trial process.
Students new to the College will also need to fill out a School Enrolment Application Form.

How to Apply – Students Currently in the Basketball Academy
Students currently in the Basketball Academy will receive a separate application form from the Basketball Coordinator, with instructions on the application process.
Selection Process
1. Please email: basketball@livingwaters.wa.edu.au for all basketball application enquiries.
2. A School Enrolment Application will also need to be completed for new students to the College. Visit livingwaters.wa.edu.au/enrolments for more information.
3. An invitation to trial will be provided once the application has been assessed.
4. Students will attend the appropriate trial time for their group.
5. Successful applicants will receive a contract that must be completed and returned to the College.

Once the application has been submitted, our Basketball Coordinator will be in contact regarding the assessment process. If you have any queries, please email basketball@livingwaters.wa.edu.au. New students to the College will also need to fill in an Enrolment Application Form and email it to enrolments@livingwaters.wa.edu.au

3. If the student is accepted into the Program, a student contract will need to be filled out and sent back before the end of Term 3.
