Curriculum

Living Waters Lutheran College seeks to provide a caring, structured environment that enables and encourages students to develop their natural curiosity for the world in which we live. We aim to inspire students to be active participants and foster a life-long love of learning.

Our Primary School comprises Kindergarten to Year 6. Students have access to multiple classrooms and learning spaces such as the College Library, Visual Arts room, Vlahov Centre (our gymnasium) and I.T labs.

Children’s play informs their learning and we encourage students to explore this through our playgrounds and natural surroundings. The College encompasses a number of open spaces that are used for both sporting and academic activities.

The Western Australian Curriculum, along with the Kindergarten Guidelines and Early Years Learning Framework, form the foundation of our teaching and learning. Staff work collaboratively to develop engaging opportunities for students across all learning areas. We provide multiple opportunities for social and cultural enrichment through some of our specialist programs.

Our students engage with specialist teachers in the following areas:

  • Languages (Japanese)
  • Physical Education
  • The Arts and Music.

All classrooms are fitted with interactive whiteboards and classroom computers or ipads which provides fun and exciting opportunities to develop our student’s ICT skills.
