Living Waters Lutheran College offers a number of opportunities for students to experience new places, cultures and events beyond the classroom. Below is a list of some of national and international trips, camps and activities available, which can vary from year to year. We often alternate our Canberra and Japan trips each year.
Canberra
This is offered to students in the Secondary School who wish to visit the nation’s capital.
Japan
This is offered to students in the Secondary School who have chosen Japanese as an elective.
Pedal Prix Trip around Australia
Upper and Lower Secondary School students have the opportunity to become involved in one of our Pedal Prix teams, either in the Junior division (Year 7), or in the Senior division (Years 8 to 12). This involves designing, building and racing a pedal-powered vehicle around a track at various compeitions around Australia.
Robotics
Our robotics team have represented Living Waters in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Mexico.
ROSTIA stands for ‘Recognition of Students Transitioning into Adulthood’ and is one of the great joys and challenges of Year 9 at the College. Pastoral carers and educators recognise that Year 9 is a time of change both for parents and children. The students in our care are not yet adults but are no longer children – they are on a journey to maturity. The ROSTIA program lays the foundation for supporting their learning and development, both academically, socially and spiritually.
The following events are part of the program:
- The Ultimate Urban Challenge in Term 2
- ROSTIA Family Dinner in Term 4.
Students attend a camps with their whole year level, beginning with classroom camping activities or one-night sleepovers in the younger years, and increasing to two or three-day camps for the older students.
Students attend camps at a variety of venues and may participate in activities such as canoeing, bush walking, orienteering and abseiling. It is an expectation that students attend all program camps.
Each year brings with it a variety of co-curricular activities available to students which include:

- ACC and CPSSA Interschool Sport Carnivals
